Thanks for the support!

Thanks for the support!

Hi Everyone,

Just want to say thank you for being here, I honestly felt a weight off my shoulders sharing that (I felt supported even if you read it).

I saw my Cardiologist yesterday and I have a Nuclear heart test on April 13 (it takes 2-5 hours) but I found a point that I think is 100% but I can't share it online (about housing).

With the amount of people in housing with Hidden disabilities (any disability), they lack understanding, empathy, the basics of trauma etc, all my battles are because I know there are 1000's of me out there.

Hey @Chuckles

Lovely to see you here again! 💚

I am so glad to hear that you felt that weight lifted. There is so much power in just being seen, especially when you’ve been fighting an invisible battle for so long.

It is fantastic news that you’ve found a '100% point' for your housing case. You don’t need to share the specifics here to know how much of a relief it must be to have a solid piece of ground to stand on, which changes the whole energy of the fight.

The Nuclear Heart Test will certainly be a long, demanding day for you. Since you mentioned the 2-5 hour window, make sure you plan for the 'sensory' side of that wait. If you can, bring whatever helps you feel grounded 💚

Your perspective on hidden disabilities is so vital. And you are right, the system is designed for what it can see, and it fails miserably at the complexities of trauma and internal health. By standing your ground, you are really carving out a path for others who might not yet have the strength to fight. So I'm really proud of you for that, truly 💚

Good luck with your heart test coming up... It sounds like it could be a challenge.

Hey there @Chuckles ,

How are you today? How have things been for you?

Re: Thanks for the support!

I’ve been in hospital for the past 9 days with a collapsed lung and I’m scheduled for surgery on Friday.

To be honest this admission has been really hard and I’m really struggling, my disabilities are known as I’m at my local hospital but I’m not feeling seen or heard as so many staff are not trauma informed so when I’m feeling misunderstood (it’s fight or flight) and fight offen is more dominant, I’ve asked to see a mental health clinician (they don’t have any), there’s a S-fe H34¥3n near by but I can’t get through to them and I’m bed ridden.

a S-&t situation and extremely frustrating, I’m very scattered right now with everything going on but my NCAT order have been put on hold and escalated at ministerial level.
