@Nw its the worst feeling sometimes im so sorry.
do you have any strategies that have worked in the past? when im feeling desperate i use thunderstorm white noise, and if all else fails i put a quiet kids movie on until i drift off. ive also heard a lot of good things about sleep podcasts or guided meditation.
take this with a grain of salt considering im also lying awake at 3am, but just know you arent alone.

@Nw you're definitely not alone in this. It's currently 4am for me and i haven't slept at all.
It's frustrating to feel like you've tried everything.
Some suggestions from me are doing a calming activity, getting up and doing something then trying again to sleep, listening to music, having a warm drink.

Hello @Nw most GP clinics nowadays have bulk billing acupuncture. I go there when I have insomnia and the acupuncture knocks me out at night. If I cant get to acupuncture I use acupressure which seems to work almost as effectively for me. This is the sequence I use
I also love drinking blue solarized water. Its known as chromotherapy or color therapy and its very calming. I stopped doing it for a long while but got back into it again and realised its great for insomnia. Its much better than melatonin and settles the body for deep sleep. Dont buy blue glass bottles from just any vendors as they are full of lead. I buy from here, they have all the contaminants safely removed from the glass.

Not being able to sleep can come from a range of things.
It depends on your level of sleep debt, what's been happening with you in life, stressors, medical conditions, hormones.
I suffered from insomnia for a long time.
Even now, unless I'm medicated, I stay awake for days.
If it's worrisome for you, have you spoken to a professional?
You may want to keep a sleep diary to show your doc.
You are definitely not alone. Sleeplessness is very common.
