tooting my own horn a bit here, but I take some pride in feeling like I generally give pretty solid reccomendations.

Thats such a vague concept though. I could reccomend so many movies but itd help to narrow it down a bit.

Yessss @rav3n - mamma Mia is soooooo good - I love those kind of movies. Not a horror girl but I still watch them.

@Fluttershy1 @tyme @MissGremlin @Snowie @rav3n @Shaz51

I totally agree about the Gremlins movies.

With the Final Destination movies, I love them all, but the best one is the latest one, Final Destination Bloodlines. I would have watched it at least 6 times already.

Beekeeper is great with Jason Statham, and I can’t wait for number 2 to be released.

Another good one is Hunting Season with Mel Gibson.

Re: Movie recommendations

@rav3n I love The Vampire Diaries. I have watched the full series twice. If you are into vampire shows, have you watched The Originals? I have also watched this series twice and the follow on series called Legacies which focuses on the daughter of one of the main vampires in The Originals.

Secular Movies -

Steel Magnolias, my all time favourite chick flick

Star Wars - the original trilogy before Disney came along and messed the franchise up!

Alien - again the original trilogy

Gladiator

A Brilliant Mind

Deadpool trilogy

I Hate Valentines' Day

Fackham Hall - haven't seen it yet but want to. For lovers of Jimmy Carr and comedy covers of Downton Abbey.

Christian Movies -

Gods' Not Dead #1 - 5

I Still Believe
I Can Only Imagine

War Room
Overcomer

Courageous

Redeeming Love

I have never watched Titanic or Mama Mia and as you can see I have not watched many movies from 2010 on. The last time I went to the cinema was to see I Can Only Imagine back in 2018.

Funny you mention " the 6th sense" @Bunniekins as I was just thinking about recommending that one yesterday. Another one I seem to watch over and over again is "Stigmata" which they classify as a Horror, Thriller. Another great one is Skyscraper for all the Dwayne Johnson fans.

Another one I liked, which could be good for this forum is one called "It Ends with Us' which does have DV in it, but it is all about the decision that has to be made if she stays or if she goes.

Is that your bunny in the photo?

@DownMoreThanUp It took me 3 attempts to finally watch the full movie and did enjoy it. I think I have seen it before, but one good thing about having a crappy memory, is you forget a lot of what you have seen. I cried right at the end because when she was playing with the little girl, I knew she would be missing her twin sister.

I will give this one a go. Every time I see something related to Pink Floyd, it reminds me of my one glimpses that maybe I have some psychic abilities. I have been told that I do, and I went to a salt room with a friend when we did meditation. Then we were told to sit opposite another person who you didn't know and close your eyes and try to connect with the other person. The first image that popped into my mind was like an album cover with the Pink Floyd Triangle on it.

Pink Floyd.jpg

When we had to discuss what we saw or felt, I describe it to the lady, and Pink Floyd was her favourite band and that was her favourite album. So now that I am getting interested in the crystals, I am going to try and use some of them that enhance psychic abilities and see where it leads me.

Good Morning 01.jpg

P.S. The heater is on this morning. It is currently 10.2° 😬

Re: Movie recommendations

@ENKELI There are a couple there that I haven't seen and will add to my watch list. Like Steel Magnolias, A Brilliant Mind & I Hate Valentines' Day

Star Wars - I think I have only watched the original trilogy - Lost interest after that.

Alien - Another set of movies that I have watch over and over.

Gladiator - I can remember watching it, but I feel it needs to be watched again.

Deadpool trilogy - I know I have watched some of the Deadpool, but not sure if I have watch 3 of them.

If' you like an old-fashioned love story then you should watch The Titanic. I didn't think I would enjoy it. I remember saying what is the point of watching it, we all know the ship sinks. Obviously, it is about much more than that. It is a 3-hour movie, but one I have watched multiple times, at least 5 times.

Re: Movie recommendations

@Mustang67 interesting story you got there. Do let me share if you find those crystals tell you true stuff. One of my brothers and his wife are into this too. Connecting energy fields, based on old Buddhist style reasoning. Mind you this kind of thought is across religions Judaism was into stones and getting truthful answers as well. Their high priest had 12 of them on his chest. i'm sure there are many more examples.

People listening to stones is usually condemned by the Christian religion, i find that not investigating the evidence but judging without finding out.

So i'm genuine interested hearing your experiences if you feel safe to share that is of course.

@Fluttershy1 @ENKELI @Bunniekins @Judi9877 @heartathome

One of our daughters favourite videos, real teenage style emotional kind of, nice story line tho.

Re: Movie recommendations

@Mustang67 I haven't seen the 3rd Deadpool yet either, it's Deadpool and Wolverine. I lost interest in both characters.

Titanic is 3 hours? My goodness, that's a long movie! I may try it one of these days. I know it's a love story and because almost everyone but me has seen it I've heard a lot about it.

I'll let you know if I watch it 🙂

Re: Movie recommendations

@DownMoreThanUp crystals and other new age religious tools are not so much condemned by Christians but the question you have to ask is where are you getting the help you need from? Is it from God? Or do you believe it comes from the crystal/tarot card/chakra etc etc? Are you worshipping "idols"?
If it's not of God it's not to be accepted into the house of a Christian.

I have crystal ornaments simply because they are pretty to look at, but I don't believe they are of health benefit to me.

This is my opinion from a Christian perspective of course and other people feel differently.

In response to: Re: Movie recommendations

Re: Movie recommendations

@DownMoreThanUp I have added that movie to my playlist. I am still in the investigation part of my crystal journey, even though I have purchased a heap, but what I can gather so far is that you need to put your intentions into the stones/crystals to get the best outcomes. Some places have said that they don't work at all, but because of the intent that you are putting behind them and the fact that you are thinking about that intention when you see the stone, this is what brings it to being. But I will see how it all goes. I am very open to try new things.

In response to: Re: Movie recommendations

Re: Movie recommendations

@ENKELI Sure! i do understand that full well.👍

Yet to me The Word shows  God uses stones to answer truth to Moses all  the time, as He has used so many other things true. But through stones arranged, named and precious, God answered very specific questions, gave clear directions, and brought to light His Will. So a better understanding is what i'm after for myself to re understand The Word here.  Grasp the the Urim and the Thummim spiritually! For i believe such could be meaningful for my personal instruction.

Re: Movie recommendations

@DownMoreThanUp

God is pretty clear - any practice that doesn't include Him is of the world. What you are saying about Moses and what people believe crystals can do are 2 completely different things.

God uses stones - you may have misread what I wrote. Anything that is not of God should not pass through the hands of a Christian. Crystals are used separate from God, that is the point I am making.

@TAB @Fluttershy1 @ENKELI @Mustang67 @Bunniekins

i'm not into movies much. lack of interest a big factor but the biggest one is emotional activation and music that brings emotional contents has me more often than not captive to it and opens all kind of doors i still rather keep closed. Mainly because i'm not that interested in Hollywood much.

This a classic in my books loved this movie from beginning to end.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lX0doZDgl1Y

i did really enjoy this movie, as did my wife. Although it took me a few days to watch it. (an alternative Christian view on suffering and God. (some heavy themes discussed))
